The Friends of Wakulla Springs are hosting the 2nd Annual "Run for Wakulla Springs" at Wakulla Springs State Park in Wakulla County on Saturday, May 17, 2008.  Wakulla Springs is located 22 miles south of Tallahassee.  All proceeds will benefit the preservation of Wakulla Springs State Park.

The run will include a 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 a.m., and a 5K run at 9:00 a.m.  The event is being sponsored by Publix, Capital Health Plan, Ameris Bank, Coastwise Realty, Micro Type Graphics, Wakulla Bank, Wakulla.com, Wakulla News, and Wakulla Realty.

The first 200 registrants will receive a T-shirt with a beautiful wildlife design created by Pamela Ross (pictured).  To guarantee a t-shirt consider pre-registering.  Day of race registration begins at  8:00 a.m. at the bathhouse at the park.  Visit www.wakullasprings.org for more details and up-dates.

Registration forms for the Run for Wakulla Springs are also available at all Publix stores in Tallahassee.
