In the United States, our government functions under
the
framework that supreme power is vested in the people and
exercised
by them directly or indirectly through a system of
representation in
government, and one of the most critical
ways that individuals can
influence governmental decision-
making is through voting. For this
reason, the position of
Supervisor of Elections is one of the most
important positions
in local government.
I
have spent 27+ years in public service with the Florida
Highway
Patrol. During that time, I was involved in interpreting,
researching and applying the laws of the State of Florida in the
protection of the
citizens and tourists of Florida.
As a
public servant and law enforcement supervisor, I have the
knowledge and
