Wetlands Advisory Committee to Host November 4 Public Meeting

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Wetlands Advisory Committee will hold a Public Meeting on November 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wakulla County Public Library, 4330 Crawfordville Hwy., (850) 926-7415

Purpose of Meeting:

To Review and Discuss Recommendations Regarding the Wetlands Ordinance, Section 32 of the Land Development Code.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Any handicapped, visually or hearing impaired person or any non-English speaking person needing special assistance should contact the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners’ Office at (850) 926-0919 or TDD (850) 926-1201.

CHAT to Host Microchipping Event in November

Citizens for Humane Animal Treatment (CHAT) will host a microchipping event on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Adoption Center located at 1 Oak Street in Crawfordville.  The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  The cost is $15 for CHAT members, $25 for non members.  This includes registration of chip.

War Eagle Wrestling Team will Host Pre-Football Game Fish Fry

The War Eagle Wrestling team will be hosting a fish fry in front of J. D. Jones Stadium this Friday, November 6, 2009 from 4:30 pm until kickoff.  The plates will be $6 and can be purchased in advance by contacting the Wrestling Boosters or you can buy them at the game.  Plates will include fresh mullet, cheese grits, baked beans, and tea.

Come out and enjoy dinner before this exciting game between Wakulla and Leon in a battle to determine who makes the playoffs.

The Roads Clean Action Plan (RCAP) is holding a Public Meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at

5:00p.m. at the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners Conference Room,
