He was born in Schenectady, NY and was a resident of Crawfordville for one year having moved from Hollywood Florida. He was a graduate of the George T. Baker School and had A&P and CDL licenses and was a certified Scuba Diver. He was of the Catholic faith and is survived by his daughter Mary Heirs and husband Billie of Hollywood Florida, his mother Dorothy Gercak of Crawfordville, one brother Stephen Gercak III of Winter Haven Florida, one sister Mary Westbrook and husband Robert, Jr. of Crawfordville, two grand children and many nieces and nephews.
