From the Publisher:
Dear Readers,
Hope you are all doing well this fine Thursday morning! This week's newsletter recaps a few events from the past week, and hits on several activities coming up.
The African American Heritage Celebration was held this past Saturday at Hudson Park in Crawfordville. A nice crowd turned out for the festivities, and the event (the second annual) was really a lot of fun. There was wonderful food provided by several local church groups, and the entertainment and speakers were outstanding. If you missed it this year, you should really plan to come out for next year's celebration.
The Wakulla County Rotary Club ended up with the largest crowd ever at their 9th annual Valentine's Day Celebration. This year's event was definitely a success, and the Rotary will be able to do many good things in the coming year with the money raised.
The 41st annual Wakulla County Swine Show will be held this Saturday, February 24 at the Livestock Pavilion in Crawfordville. This is a really unique event, and always lots of fun (especially the Pig Chase!). If you've never been, you just don't know what you're missing. And, the bar-b-que lunch is out of this world!! Make sure to bring the kids out and have a fun day.
Congratulations to Debra Lowe ofWakulla Collision Center! Debra was our last Manic Monday winner, and she won $25 just for being a registered user on Wakulla.com. Thanks Debra!
There should be something for everyone in the links below, so take some time and peruse through them over your morning coffee.
Have a great day and weekend.
Sincerely,
Mary Katherine Westmark
