From the Publisher:
Dear Readers,
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I hope you have plans to spend time with family and eat wonderful food. That's pretty much what we'll be doing for the next few days, and I must say I'm looking forward to a piece of my Grandma's pecan pie and some of her fantastic dressing. It just wouldn't be the same without it!
The holiday season is definitely upon us, and there are already lots of events scheduled for the next month or so. Check out our Community Calendar for December to see what all is going on in the county so that you don't get yourself double-booked!
I'm going to make this week's letter short and sweet, and just say that I hope you all have a great rest of the week, and if you are traveling, please be careful. I just read an interesting article about things that can distract us while we are driving, and it really made me stop and think. Using your cell phone, text messaging, and dealing with our kids are all seemingly little distractions (that we all do; I know I'm guilty of several of them) that can end up causing major accidents in a hurry, so please be aware of what you are doing while driving, and stay safe.
We're still collecting holiday recipes for the site, so if you have a favorite family recipe you would like to share with us, please email it to me at mkwestmark@wakulla.com and we will feature it with the others. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Mary Katherine Westmark

P.S. Don't forget to send us your birth, birthday, wedding and engagement announcements to us at mkwestmark@wakulla.com, and include a picture or two if you'd like! They are always free on Wakulla.com!
