From the Publisher:
Dear Readers,
Hope you all had a great Easter weekend! The weather was absolutely gorgeous; perfect for being outdoors. We spent Saturday at the Green Living Expo, which turned out to be a wonderful event. The mood was great, and the visitors really seemed to be having a good time. The final count isn't in yet, but at least 700 people made their way through the exhibits and workshops throughout the day. There were hybrid cars on display, vendors with all sorts of interesting products promoting green living, and my kids made some jam-up smores in their solar ovens! If you didn't get by this year, make plans to attend next year's expo. It was extremely interesting, and the subject matter is something we should all be thinking about.
Sunday was spent hunting Easter eggs and eating chocolate (before and after church). Need I say more?
This weekend promises to be a busy one! The Wakulla High School Dramatis Personae troupe is putting on their Annual Spring Production on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. This year's production is "The Clumsy Custard Horror Show and Ice Cream Clone Review". My kids and I attended one of the rehearsals to take some cast photos, and my kids didn't want to leave! It looks like it's going to be a great play, so come out and support this talented, hard working group of students.
Saturday brings the Crawfordville Woman's Club Business Expo, which will be held at the Woman's Club from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will showcase businesses either owned or run by women here in Wakulla County. There will be booths representing the different businesses, with reps available to talk to you about what they do and what their products are. Come out and enjoy a day of socializing and learning about what some dynamic women are doing right here in Wakulla County.
Well, have a great weekend, and thanks for supporting Wakulla.com.
Sincerely,
Mary Katherine Westmark
