From the Publisher:

Dear Readers,

Another busy weekend is ahead for us! There are several events you might want to take advantage of if you are looking for something to do with your family.

Friday night the Wakulla High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting a talent show, "Performing for a Cure" at the WHS auditorium. All the proceeds will benefit the Relay for Life campaign here in Wakulla County.

The Wakulla County Parks and Rec Department will host their annual County Wide Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning in Azalea Park in Crawfordville. Registration will take place in Hudson Park, but the actual hunt will happen at Azalea.

The YMCA is hosting their "Y Walk-a-Thon" event on the St. Marks Trail to raise funds for their Kids-to-Camp campaign. Come out and walk, skate or bike to help this important cause.

Let's see...the Sopchoppy Opry will feature several different guests this weekend, with Country Gold as their headliner. It should be a fantastic show; plan to come out and enjoy some wonderful music!

On Thursday evening the Wakulla Welcome Center in Panacea will play host to art work created by Wakulla High School art students. The opening reception is Thursday evening from 6 to 8, but the artwork will be at the center throughout the month. Come out and support these talented young people.

This past weekend was very busy, with the Crawfordville Elementary School Spring Festival and the Relay for Life "Luau by the Bay" at Woolley Park in Panacea. The school festival was packed; everyone with kids must have been there at some point during the day. It was a great time; we took the kids out and they had a blast. We also dropped in on the Luau by the Bay, and the weather and music were both just perfect. There was a wonderful breeze blowing across the park, and the Jimmy Buffett styled music was excellent. I hope you were able to make it out to at least one of these events; they were both for a good cause.

Well, have a good rest of your week. And churches, don't forget to send us your Easter event announcements! We'll be glad to post them here on the site, free of charge, so take advantage of a great way to get the word out. And thanks to all of you who continue to support us by visiting the site and registering for our newsletter. We really appreciate it!

Sincerely,

Mary Katherine Westmark
