From the Publisher:

Dear Readers,

Another busy week is almost over, and next week is Spring Break for Wakulla County schools. I don't know about everyone else, but we are looking forward to slowing down a little next week. No trips planned; just taking care of some things that we haven't had time to get to in the past few months. Even the kids are ready for some down time! I don't know how much I'll get done on the site next week, so please forgive me if I don't get back to your emails as quickly as usual!

This weekend brings Easter Sunday, and there are several events scheduled here in Wakulla County to celebrate the day. There are a couple of sunrise services planned, and a few egg hunts for the kids. Check out our Local Church Events section for all the details!

Don't forget about the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Celebration coming up Saturday, April 10! This is one of the most unique events held in Wakulla County, and if you've never been, you should make this your year to come try it out. It's a day filled with fun, food, great entertainment, and WORMS! This is one the kids will love; there's really something for everyone. And Sopchoppy is just such a cool town! This is a great way to wind up your Spring Break week! See our link below under Festivals and Celebrations for the schedule of events.

The Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce has decided to give the community one more week to nominate your favorite business to receive the first ever "Wakulla Area Business Excellence Award". The business does not have to be a Chamber member to be nominated. The winning business will be recognized at the annual Chamber Business Excellence Awards dinner to be held on May 20. The winning business and the person who nominated them will be invited to attend the dinner. To easily nominate your favorite business, just visit www.wakulla.com and click on the "We're Looking for a Few Good Businesses" banner located on the lefthand side of the page. Just fill out our online form; it's quick and easy!! Thanks for your participation.

Have a great weekend, and Happy Easter!

P.S. Be sure to post your Yard Sales and other items in our always Free Classified Ads!
P.S.S If you would like to have a Wakulla.com email address, please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let me know.
