October Day at St. Marks Wildlife Refuge (by Mike Carlton, Photographer)
Hello All,
Went to the refuge for a short time today as was able to get a few keepers. The Monarchs were out in force, many had been tagged early this morning. A red-shouldered hawk and an eagle allowed me to get some photos up fairly close. Sad to say, I don't have my 50-500mm lens back yet, should be in by the end of the week. Had lots of monarch butterfly photos but am only sending a couple as it would be a waste to send more. Hope you enjoy the little offering I'm sending (really got more than I expected today).
