Community Garden being Formed in Wakulla County: Yesterday's Village
{sidebar id=3}You are Invited to join our Community Garden project: Yesterday's Village. Our mission is to promote and preserve heritage breeds of livestock, poultry and vegetables.
Below is a list of items we need to get the ball rolling, so if you would like to donate anything, we will be willing to come pick it up. Once we get the board established, we can obtain non-profit status (if you are interested in obtaining tax credit for donations).
Please forward this to your friends and colleagues in Wakulla and the surrounding area to get the word out. Also, please e-mail Scott Dantzler at findingnoah@live.com to be added to the mailing list.
PEOPLE WANTED:
Five or Six committed people to serve as board members and lease holders.
Veterinarian
Butcher
Members
ITEMS WANTED (Rough draft/starter list):
Land
Livestock of Heritage breeds
Fencing Material
Nearly any sort of fencing materials
Post, insulators, chargers, wire, chain-link components,etc.
Any lumber of usable size and condition
Chicken feeders, waterers, lamps
Rabbit hutches, cages, feeders, waterers
Things that can be used for raised beds (concrete railroad posts, bricks, lumber, etc.)
PVC pipes and fittings almost any size
A wheelbarrow!!!!
Seed trays, pots, etc.
