CRIST IN JAX FOR TOWN HALL MEETING:  Gov. Charlie Crist will hold a town hall meeting with Rep. Lake Ray in Jacksonville today, with no set agenda for the discussion. (3 p.m., Florida State College at Jacksonville, South Campus, Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts 11901 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville.)

BLACK PR COMPANIES CENSUS BID:  A group of small black public relations and communications firms along with the Florida Black Chamber, make an announcement about the bid process for 2010 Census outreach. The governor’s office – eager to have the count as high as possible because of the money the results can bring in – has said it wants deep outreach into the minority community. Some black firms felt slighted by the initial contract awards to do that outreach. (9 a.m., Florida Press Center, 336 E. College Ave, Tallahassee.)

CAMPAIGN EVENTS

GIULIANI STUMPS FOR MCCOLLUM:  Former New York City Mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani is in South Florida to raise money for GOP governor candidate Bill McCollum today. (7:15 a.m., Howley’s Restaurant, 4700 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach; 3:45 p.m., Versailles Restaurant, 3555 SW 8 St. Miami.)

OVER THE WEEKEND

MEEK IN ORLANDO:  U.S. Senate candidate Kendrick Meek (D) stumps in Orlando Saturday. (Saturday, 1 p.m., UAW Local 788 1825 W. Oak Ridge Rd., Orlando.)

PASCO TEDDY ROOSEVELT DINNER:  The Pasco County Republican Party holds its Teddy Roosevelt dinner on Saturday with U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam, who is running for agriculture commissioner, as keynote speaker. (Saturday, 6 p.m., Dade City Fairgrounds, Cannon Hall, 36722 SR 52, Dade City.)
