Notice of Public Meetings Re:  Improvements to St. Marks Bike Trail

The Office of Greenways & Trails, State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces two public meetings to which all persons are invited.

The agenda will be the same for both meetings.  The two locations and dates were chosen to encourage participation by citizens of Wakulla and Leon Counties and other areas.

Date/Time: 

December 2, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Location: 

Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, Dogwood Conference Building
550 Wakulla Park Drive, Wakulla Springs, Florida.

Date/Time: 

December 4, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Location: 

The Lakes at San Marcos Apartments, Meeting Room
4660 Woodville Highway, Tallahassee, Florida

Purpose: 

{sidebar id=1}These are public meetings for the purpose of distributing information and receiving public input concerning a proposed trail widening and other improvements to the 16 mile Tallahassee - St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail.  The proposed improvements would involve increasing the paved trail width from 8' to 12' for its entire length, and the addition of public recreation structures and features.  Comment cards will be available at the meetings.
