Kimberly Franklin Crowned 2009 Miss Wakulla County
Kimberly Franklin was crowned the 2009 Miss Wakulla County on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Wakulla High School Auditorium. She competed against four other young ladies in the areas of scholastic and community achievement, personal interview, personal style, personal value statement, evening gown and finalist question. She also won Best Interview and the Scholastic and Community Achievement Award. Shelby Cash (pictured below in blue) was 1st runner-up and won Most Photogenic, and Amanda Council (pictured below in white) was 2nd runner-up and was voted by the other contestants as Miss Congeniality. The remaining contestants included Kelsey Cook and Victoria Hamel.
Gabriella Jacobs was crowned the 2009 Tiny Miss Wakulla. The remaining contestants included Khiya Bell, Aaliyah Cole, Selina Crosby, Cortlynd Fruggiero, Hailey Sandberg, Lorelei Wetherell, and Natalie Whaley.
Kori Pigott was crowned the 2009 Little Miss Wakulla. The remaining contestants included Gracie Bruce, Ansley Crum, Izabel Hernandez, Tanija Moore, Riley Sandberg, Mackenzie Smart, and Sara Wallace.
Nikki Barnes was crowned the 2009 Young Miss Wakulla. The remaining contestants included Samantha Dunaway, Mikayla Hay, Brittany Hope, Taylor Lawhon, Madisen Rudd, Shelby Weeks, Cassidy Wetherell, and Danielle Whiting.
Emma Donaldson was crowned the 2009 Jr. Miss Wakulla. The remaining contestants included Rami McIver and Sadielyn Walden.
Karolyn Lewis and Lewis Pollard did an excellent job as the mistress and master of ceremonies. Kaitlin Crouch & Family and Shannon Egler and Charlotte Lewis of Calliope, wowed us with their talent. Shannon and Charlotte both play with a local band, The Pink Shoelaces, who will be headlining the May 30th Sopchoppy Opry!
