NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL
328 AM EST FRI JAN 16 2009

...HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM EST TONIGHT UNTIL 9 AM EST SATURDAY...

A HARD FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES BELOW 26 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED FOR 2 OR MORE HOURS.
TONIGHT... NEAR RECORD LOW TEMPERATURES OF 18 TO 21 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED INLAND WITH MID 20S AT THE COAST. TOTAL FREEZE DURATIONS TONIGHT WILL BE AROUND 12 TO 13 HOURS OVER INLAND AREAS AND 8 TO 9 HOURS AT THE COAST. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION... AND MAY FREEZE EXPOSED WATER PIPES.
