Fifteen Year Old Saves a Life Using Skills Learned at Red Cross Babysitting Class

babysitter-training-image-249x187Jarred Summers took the Red Cross Babysitting training when he was 13 years old.  From the skills learned in the course, Jarred, now 15 years old, saved the life of a two year old who was choking outside his home.

Jarred is a true proponent of the Red Cross course, and now he has saved a life with his quick thinking and use of the skills he learned from the course.

“The Red Cross urges all youth to take the training so they too are prepared to save a life,” says Dan Samborn, CEO of the American Red Cross Capital Area Chapter.

The Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will again be offering the popular babysitting courses this summer.  We will post the class dates here on Wakulla.com as soon as the information is made available to us.
