Covenant Hospice Loves Wakulla!
Several employees of Covenant Hospice live in Wakulla County and are always coming back to the office talking about what a wonderful community they have. Covenant Hospice has had the privilege of serving the residents of Wakulla since 2003.
In the photo you may recognize your neighbors Susan LeClair, RN, Nancy Beam, CNA, Bink Williams, RN, Laura Pelt, LPN, and Bobbie Massey, MSW. Also pictured are Carol Alvarez, Community Educator and Martin Green, Chaplain. Each of these highly skilled professionals considers it an honor to provide hospice care to individuals with life-limiting illness and to further the mission “to help add life to days when days can no longer be added to life”.
Covenant Hospice specializes in keeping people in their own environment for care as most people request, whether that is a traditional house, a nursing facility, assisted living, or any other housing where the patient is used to living. A full team of professionals goes to see the patient, including a doctor, nurses, home health aides, chaplain, social workers, and volunteers.
Services by Covenant are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other private insurances but no one is turned away who needs hospice care even if they do not have funds or health care coverage. Covenant is a not-for-profit organization and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
