Charlie Creel Earns Endorsement of Florida State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police

Charlie Creel, candidate for Wakulla County sheriff, has earned the endorsement of the 20,000-member Florida State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Creel, a 30-year veteran Florida State Highway Patrol trooper, is one of two candidates running for the sheriff’s office. He was selected by the Florida State Lodge membership because of the respect he has gained from the local community and his dedication to supporting fellow law enforcement officers, said James W. Preston, president of the FOP Florida State Lodge.
“The citizens of Wakulla will be well served with a fresh outlook and positive approach you will bring to the office of the sheriff,” Preston said. “As president of the Florida State Lodge, I am called upon to make many endorsements. This endorsement comes easily.”
Creel, who is known by the Florida State Lodge members for his highway patrol work in Wakulla County, is honored to be the choice of the FOP for Wakulla County sheriff.
“I am honored to receive this endorsement from the Florida State Lodge of the FOP, a distinguished organization that is made up of members from all over the state,” Creel said. “These are my peers, the people who know the importance of dedicated professional law enforcement and risk their lives every day to provide it.”
The FOP Florida State Lodge is a 58-year-old support and service organization for Florida law enforcement professionals.
Creel, who is running with No Party Affiliation, is unopposed in the August primary, but will oppose the incumbent sheriff in the Nov. 4 general election.
