Big Bend Hospice Wakulla Hosts Service of Remembrance
{sidebar id=3}Although Big Bend Hospice’s Wakulla Service of Remembrance had to contend with Santa’s arrival at a neighboring park, along with a few other complications, over 85 people attended. Mr. Ben Lovel delivered a moving and inspirational personal story on behalf of several Wakulla families, including his immediate family. One woman commented afterwards that she had lost her husband just two weeks ago and it gave her great comfort to attend the service and find reassurance that she was not alone.
One of Big Bend Hospice’s great pleasures is R.N. Mary McMahan, who makes the best desserts in the world…causing many to gather around the table following the service not wanting to leave the reception! In this photo, Tammie Barfield, Community Resources Coordinator for BBH, lights the Candle of Hope during the remembrance ceremony.
Big Bend Hospice would like to thank all the community members who came out to be a part of the service.
