African-American Business Owners are Recognized with Luncheon
The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and Embarq recently held an Appreciation Luncheon to recognize African-American business owners in Wakulla County. The March 28 luncheon was held at Harvey-Young Farm, with a delicious meal prepared by Posey's Steam Room.
Each business owner in attendance was recognized and presented with a Certificate of Appreciation. "This is our way of saying thank you for the service and jobs provided to support Wakulla County's economic development and public safety," said Sheriff David Harvey. "We know that good jobs through a strong business community is the ultimate crime prevention."
Ms. Carmen Cummings, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs at Florida A & M University, served as the guest speaker for the event.
