Senator Martinez Reminds Local Students to Submit Applications for Military Academy Nominations

Deadline for Local Students to Submit Applications for Military Academy Nominations is Sept. 30
{sidebar id=1}U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) reminds Floridians that Sunday, September 30, 2007 is the deadline to submit applications to Senator Martinez’s Office for a congressional nomination to attend U.S. Service Academies. Service academies requiring a nomination include the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, the Military Academy at West Point, and the Naval Academy at Annapolis; the Coast Guard Academy does not require a nomination.Applications must be postmarked or shipped through a delivery service no later than September 30 and sent to: Office of U.S. Senator Mel Martinez Attn: Military Academy Coordinator 315 East Robinson Street Landmark Center 1, Suite 475 Orlando, FL 32801. Interviews for qualified candidates will be held on November 7, 2007 in Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Tallahassee. Selected applicants will be contacted by the Orlando office with their interview time and location.
