Written by Publisher, Wakulla.com Monday, 09 August 2010 21:54
One new County Commissioner will be elected on August 24. Three Democrats are running for George Green's (District 2) seat.
Therefore, this election will be decided in August (not November). Every registered voter (Democrat, Republican, and Independent/Other) is allowed to vote on this race between now and August 24.
Early voting started Monday, August 9, and runs for two weeks through August 21. Vote early at the Supervisor of Elections Office in Crawfordville from 9 am to 5 pm. Have photo and signature identification ready. On August 24, you must vote at your designated polling place between 7 am and 7 pm.
To help you make an informed decision about this important election, one more candidate forum will be held on Tuesday, August 10. This may be your last opportunity to hear the candidates -- Millie Harrison, Derek Howard, and Randy Merritt -- state their views and answer questions.
* The Republican Executive Committee is hosting a debate on Tuesday, August 10 at the Senior Center at 6:30 pm .
