Broward Sapp Seeks Wakulla County Supervisor of Elections Seat

bro_1 125.gifHi, I'm Broward Sapp and I would like to announce my intent to seek the Office of Supervisor of Elections for Wakulla County.  I moved to the county 34 years ago when I married Carmen Pelt, daughter of Carmel and Etta Mae Council Pelt of Crawfordville.  We have two children, Cody, age 17 and Amy, age 29 who is married to Clint Bull.  We have two grandsons, Hunter and Brandon (Trapper) Bull.

Shortly after moving to the county I became involved in adult softball at the recreation park.  One of the first couples I met was George and Sherida Crum.  I remember the day at the park Sherida said she was running for Supervisor of Elections.  It's hard to believe that was 24 years ago.  Thanks, Sherida!

{sidebar id=1}I worked for twenty-four years in Wakulla and Leon County as a communications engineer for Embarq (Sprint).  I worked on engineering projects related to the Department of Transportation and county road construction, new subdivision developments, residential construction and routine maintenance.  This has given me experience and knowledge of the county along with working with state government.

My involvement in the community includes being a member of River of Life Church, teaching Junior Golf at the Wildwood Country Club, operating Fairway Golf, a small golf club repair shop, the Crawfordville Masonic Lodge, the Wakulla Shrine Club and the Marzuq Shrine Club.

In researching the Supervisor of Elections Office, it is imperative to know the law regarding state and county elections; the voting constitutes, the voting equipment, financial reporting, qualifying of candidates for county office and working with the public in general.  My professional experience along with my community involvement will compliment the duties of this office.

I would like to thank the voters of Wakulla County for your support during my past campaigns and ask for your continued support in this new endeavor.

Thanks,

Broward  Sapp
