Panacea Blue Crab Festival Preview Show

“The Blue Crab Festival just keeps on getting better and better,” exclaims Festival Co-Chair Kathi Brown.  “We’re kicking off at 7:30 PM on Friday, May 6th with a “BLUE CRAB FESTIVAL PREVIEW SHOW” at the American Legion Hall at Lake Ella, Tallahassee.  Admission price is $20/person, and ticket sales begin at 6:30 PM.   Be sure to come early as seating is limited.  Also, hold onto your ticket because it will give you admission to Saturday’s Festival, too.”

The show will feature a set by four local writers—all with Nashville experience in their careers.

· Trafton Harvey lived in Nashville in the late 1990s and wrote for BMG Music.

· Dave Williamson played bass and sang harmony with Don Williams in the 70's. Two of his songs were released on Williams' hit albums "Visions" and "Expressions." www.songramp.com/homepage.ez?Who=Zmusic

· Paul Harbin, a widely popular local writer, spent the last year and a half in Nashville as a working songwriter. http://www.paulharbin.com/.

· Charlie Harvey, an affordable housing developer, spends time and money in Nashville doing demos and pitching his songs.

LINDA HARGROVE - Raised in Tallahassee, Linda graduated from Leon High School in the 60’s. Within a year of moving to Nashville in 1970, she was the first female guitarist to break into the male-dominated session scene with her unique guitar style. In 1972, she signed with Elektra records releasing two critically acclaimed albums in 1973 and 1974. She recorded for Capitol and RCA through the remainder of the 70’s and released two independent gospel albums in the 80’s. In 1976, Linda received three BMI Country Awards: one for “Just Get Up and Close the Door,” a #1 for Johnny Rodriguez; another for “I’ve Never Loved Anyone More” by Lynn Anderson; and the third for “Let It Shine” sung by Olivia Newton-John. “Let It Shine” earned Linda a BMI Pop Award that same year. Twice she received awards for writing George Jones’ 80’s #1 hit “Tennessee Whiskey.” In addition, she has numerous other chart hits for other great singers. Linda currently resides in Panacea, Florida.
