Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about Wakulla Dance Academy. Our goal is to provide the best possible dance experience and quality instruction for all of our dancers. Our students gain confidence, poise, coordination, motor skills, strength, flexibility, social skills and lasting friendships by studying dance with nurturing teachers in a non-competitive environment. We strive to enrich the lives of others through a positive, encouraging and caring atmosphere while at the same time instilling proper technique and a love of dance that will last a lifetime. We offer a wide variety of classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, clogging, cheer dance, hip-hop, contemporary and more for all ages and skill levels.
Students at WDA have competed in a number of dance competitions including Dance Caravan, Tremaine, NYCDA, Dance Makers, JUMP and more earning High Gold, Gold, High Silver, Most Entertaining and Outstanding Performance awards. Teachers and students at WDA participate in conventions throughout the year learning the latest dance styles by taking classes from world famous choreographers such as Dave Scott, Napolean and Tabitha D’umo from the Fox Tv show So You Think You Can Dance and the movies Step Up 1 and 2 and Stomp The Yard as well as Jamal Sims choreographer for Hannah Montana and the movie Hairspray.
