WHS College and Career Fair Set for September 20

 

college_fair_logo-200Wakulla High will host their annual "College and Career Fair"  for all Juniors and Seniors on Monday, September 20, 2010 in the high school gym from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m.

Approximately 30 universities, community colleges and vocational/technical schools will be there with booths and exhibits.

Seniors and WHS AVID students will attend from 12:25  to 1:10.  Juniors and middle school AVID students will attend from 1:15 to 1:55.  Parents are welcome to attend with their Junior or Senior.  Parents are welcome to attend at any time during the event, no matter what grade their child is in.

Students will be able to visit each school's table to gather information on scholarships, enrollment requirements, financial aid, etc.  Some of the colleges and organizations that will be in attendance are:

...and more.  Kaplan Test Prep and Sylvan Learning Center will also be there with information on their Test Prep Mini-Courses for the SAT and ACT tests.

 Special thanks to WHS Principal Mike Crouch, the WHS administrative team and Superintendent of Schools David Miller for their continued support.  Thanks also to the WHS Culinary Dept. for the preparing lunch for the College and Career Fair recruiters and presenters, and to WHS guidance counselors Bonnie Salib and Krista Millender for all their help with the event.  Finally, special thanks to the following outstanding sophomore Student Ambassadors for helping out with the event.  These students were selected based upon good grades, attendance, and behavior.:
