WHS Class of 2008:  Biggest Influence During High School

Wakulla.com spoke to members of the Senior Class of 2008 and asked them to share some of their feelings and thoughts about their last year at Wakulla High School.  This is what they had to say...

Who was your biggest influence during high school, and why?

  Kimberly Hancock - "My friends.  They influenced when and if I attended school, and how much I paid attention in my classes."

  "Probably Alison because she's my best friend and we've been through a lot."
Stuart Brimner
  "My dad.  He always kept me doing the right thing.  I owe all of my successes to him."
Sam Myrick   "My best friends Sean and Brian, because together they helped me break out of my shell, become comfortable with myself, and even made me have a good time against my better judgement several times."

Nina Reich - "Coach (Dave) Price because he showed me that even through hard times iving up is never an option."
Danny Lilly   "Dusty Manning, a friend because he graduated the year I got here and was a good anti-example (ROFL)."

  "My biggest influence during high school was my brother.  He was the first to go to college and receive his Bachelor's Degree at Hampton University in Virginia."

  "It's two people.  First my older sister Arata.  I spent two years in Wakulla High with her and I got a fresh start; she helped me get far.  The other person is Teresa Murphy, one of my teachers in 10th grade.  This woman never let me give up on my work and girls.  By the end of that year I knew what I wanted from my life, and I also found out I'd never be able to control women!"
Sara Daw   "Mrs. Nancy Floyd Richardson.  Without her I wouldn't be where I am in my life today; she never gave up on me!"

  Kaylyn Williams - "Mrs. Taylor.  She has been nothing but an encouragement to me.  She always pushes me in the right direction.  My parents have also been a huge encouragement; they support me in all I do."
