Dramatis Personae Presents the WHS Spring Talent Show and Band Showcase

It’s that time of year when talented students “Do Their Thing” at the annual “Spring Talent Show & Band Showcase”, presented by the Wakulla High School Dramatis Personae.  The event will be held this Friday night, March 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the WHS auditorium.

talent show clipart 125.gifThis year’s lineup promises to be one of the best yet.  Although the Spring Talent Show likes to showcase those students who play in a “band”, there are always some very talented singers and artists who WOW the audience between the bands.  For those of you who are new to Wakulla High’s Talent Shows, you will be amazed by the beautiful voices of Trisha Gordon, Mary Lee Brandt, Charles Clayton, Shelby Davis, Katherine Martinez, Charmane’Ackerman, Keley Alyea  and Rhiannon Vinson, just to name a few.  You absolutely do not want to miss these fabulous singers.

Crowd favorite Christina Brydebell will be singing and playing guitar with David Starling.  Danny Lilly and Elliot Seidler will join forces and blow minds.   Another Duet group with acoustic guitars, Raleigh Clarke and Travis Harrell, will impress you with their style.  Neo Leynes and Ben Mathers will light up the night, along with Kyle Klinski and B. B. Scott.  Monica Thorpe and Kimberly Franklin will be singing and playing guitar with some real show stoppers!

Dancers?  Yes!  We have the fabulous Dyan Talbot, Chelli and Britney doing a step dance challenge along with Ridge Scott and Company, The Hot, Hot, Hot Wakulla High Dance Team, clogging by Ashlye Taylor, and finally the unbelievable Michael Brown will blow everyone away with his amazing dancing.

What about the bands?  A renamed group from last year returns; “Hollow Memories", Dylan McClure, P.J. Escorpizo, Max Montgomery and Joe Salgado are bringing down the house.  Patrick Stewart, Evan Nazworth and Marcus Posey have formed a new group called “Broken Street”.  Frankie Humphries and Robert Peck AKA “Discount Bakery” will be performing original stuff; and last but not least the group “Bearded Lady” with Jay Peacock, Ben Anderson, Travis Harrell and Morgan Henry.

Make plans to attend this exciting show.  Master and Mistress of Ceremonies Christina Brydebell and Sam Myrick will keep you entertained between acts and there is always a surprise guest or two to keep things interesting.  Dramatis Personae sponsors these performances and has hired Rick Ott with “From The Heart Sound Company” to give our performers the best sound ever.

The show starts at 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 14th in the WHS Auditorium.  The cost is $4.00 for students and $6.00 for adults.  Refreshments will be sold during intermission.  Proceeds help qualifying Drama Students to go to the Florida State Thespian Festival and Competition in late April and early May where they will showcase their Superior work in Duet and Ensemble Acting, Solo Musical and Publicity.
