Update from Principal Robert Pearce of Medart Elementary Re: Winter Festival & H1N1 Vaccinations
Hello, this is Medart Elementary School Principal Robert Pearce with an important holiday festival and H1N1 vaccination update.
Due to the possibility of inclement weather, our holiday festival will be moved to Friday, December 11th.
On Tuesday, December 8th, health care professionals from the Wakulla County Health Department will be at our school to administer H1N1 vaccinations. Immunizations, which are optional, will be offered to 4th and 5th graders during the regular school day, December 8th, beginning at 1:00pm. Students in K-3rd grade must have a parent present to receive the vaccination; therefore, we will offer the vaccinations after school from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on December 8th as well. Please ask your child for the informational letter that was sent home this past Monday from the school that included the necessary consent form. If you have any questions you may visit the school website or call the school at 962.4881.
Thank you for your continuing support and we hope to see you next Friday, December 11, at the holiday festival.
