Shadeville Fall Festival Will be Held Saturday, October 22

Shadeville’s 22nd Annual Fall Festival

Autumn is here and it’s time again for Shadeville Elementary’s 22nd Annual Fall Festival, to be held on Saturday October 22, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  This years theme is “A Step Back In Time”; a tribute to era’s past.

There will be lots of fun, games and prizes at booths run by teachers and parent volunteers, including the popular Cake Walk, Giant Slide, Bingo, Bounce House, Laser Tag, and Face Painting.   Try your luck at Milk Cow Mania or winning a goldfish at the Finding Nemo’s Cousin booth.

Attend the Coronation at 2:00 p.m. and get first pickings at the very popular “Grannie’s Attic”, a tent full of gently used treasures and books.

Live entertainment will be provided on stage in Crum's cafe as well as outside by a host of local talent including the Mountain Dew Cloggers, Crawfordville TaeKwonDo Academy, USA Defense Academy, the Shadeville Warriorettes (our own twillers) and music from local bands.

There will be loads of good food available including hamburgers, hotdogs and grilled chicken dinner at Crum’s Café.  Wash it all down with an ice cold drink or snow cone.  Then stop by the wonderful room full of handmade baked goods (cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and cookies).

On your way out don’t forget to visit the pumpkin patch to pick out your Autumn Jack-O-Lantern.

The Festival is Shadeville’s only fundraiser (in lieu of selling candy, wrapping paper or magazines) and is a major event put on by the PTO and the Shadeville Staff and Faculty.  The festival  is used to raise funds to provide educational benefits that may not otherwise be available to the students at Shadeville during this time of budget cuts and increased costs.

Shadeville’s students also play a big roll in the fundraising by offering “Opportunity Tickets” which gives you and your family and friends the opportunity to support Shadeville, and the chance to win some very generous prizes donated by local businesses.  The grand prize drawing will be held during the Festival at  6:00 p.m.  Tickets will be available until Oct. 22 at 5:00 p.m.
