Arrival and Dismissal  Students should not arrive at school before 8:20 A.M. and should be picked up for home promptly at dismissal time.  Students arriving at school between 8:20 and 8:55 are to report to the cafetorium where supervision will be provided.  Supervision is not provided before 8:20 a.m. or after 3:50 p.m.  All students arriving after 9:00 should report to the office for a tardy slip.

Students being delivered to or picked up from school by personal transportation should be dropped off in the designated area in front of the school.  The lot on the side of the school by the retaining pond is reserved for bus traffic only and will be locked during school hours.  The Wakulla County Senior Citizens sponsors a before and after school day care program housed at Crawfordville School for children arriving before 8:25 and staying after 3:30.  Please contact them directly at 926-7145 to make arrangements.  Students participating in the before school program should report to the cafetorium upon arrival at school.

Dismissal for car-riding students is at 3:20.  Students are dismissed at this time and are under adult supervision in front of the building while waiting for pick up.  Other than in an emergency situation, we request that individuals picking up children do so at the designated area located at the front of the main building or wait in the vehicle (for safety reasons, waiting inside the building to pick up children is strongly discouraged).  A school issued pick-up pass (Dash Pass) must be visible on the passenger side dashboard in order for a child to be picked up.  Parents are responsible for ensuring that anyone picking up their child has the appropriate Dash Pass.  Parents who park and wait outside their vehicle are also asked to have a Dash Pass.

Personal transportation drop off and pick up for students is located at the Highway 319 (Sopchoppy Highway) entrance and the Highway 98 (front) entrance.  These students should not arrive at school before 8:20 AM and should be picked up at 3:25 PM.  The Wakulla County Senior Citizens sponsor a before and after school day care program housed at Medart Elementary School for children arriving before 8:20 AM and staying after 3:25 PM.  Students participating in this day care program should report to the multipurpose room upon arrival at school.

The school day for students begins at 8:55 a.m. and ends at 3:25 p.m.  Students should not arrive prior to 8:25 a.m., as there is no supervision.  Children should not be left on the school grounds after 3:40 p.m. unless the parent is present to supervise.  Students left after 3:40 p.m. will be taken to the after school program and a fee will be charged.  The Wakulla County Senior Citizens Center offers before and after  school care on the school grounds for a fee.  Please contact them directly at 926-7145 to make arrangements.

For your child’s safety we ask that you use the designated car line for dropping off and picking up students daily.  Please enter the first drive on your right when you arrive, wait your turn in line, and have your
school pick up identification on your dash.  Students will remain in the designated area until your car pulls into the loading area.  Although this procedure may be of some inconvenience, it provides a measure of safety for our students.  Please refrain from taking your child out of school before 3:20 p.m. unless you have a medical appointment.  This practice disrupts the classroom learning environment.
