The Riversprings Middle School Bear Band underwent a transformation last year in its grading system and performance level.  By doing so, the students are really benefiting in the class of Instrumental Music Education (Band).

Last year the band set many outstanding achievement records, (including scoring a Superior Rating at FBA District Evaluation, plus 11 Superiors and 3 Excellence Ratings at the FBA Solo/Ensemble Evaluation) and it looks like they may do it again this year.  So far this year, the Bear Band has achieved the following:

• Continued memorized Football Music
  
  
• Mitchell Atkinson…Trombonist…MENC All State Honor Band…January 12-15
  
  
• 11 students qualified for the FBA All District 3 Honor Band…January 25, 26, 27
  
  
• Plans are set for the National Championships in Orlando, Florida…April 29-30
