Riversprings Middle School Art Students Promote Reading through Art
The Riversprings Middle School Art Club is promoting reading through art. Students in the Art Club are designing book posters to be displayed throughout the library. These posters center around the theme of this year’s Teen Read Week, “Books With Bite.”
The Art Club meets once a week after school, and is under the direction of two wonderful artists and teachers, Mrs. Marlene Adams and Mrs. Mina Sutton. “I am so pleased that the Art Club is taking on this project,” says librarian Jennifer Thaxton. “The posters they are making are really attracting attention in the library.”
Students are working diligently, and the posters will be displayed in the library as they are completed. These posters are a great way to publicize the many wonderful books available to students.
