Written by Karen Wells, Director, Human Resources, WCS Monday, 30 August 2010 10:52
Fifty individuals attended a recent sub-solutions training at the Wakulla County School District office.
Superintendent Miller noted, “The role of substitute school teacher is important to the success of our school district. We appreciate the flexibility, expertise and professionalism they bring to our classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.”
Karen Wells, Executive Director of HR, provided the training. She said, “In today’s schools we cannot afford to lose instructional momentum, even when a teacher is out sick. The purpose of the substitute teacher training is to provide tools, resources and tips that set our substitute teachers up for success.” Additional job opportunities were presented at the training sessions as well.
