j griner 002 250Wakulla Schools elevate policies and personnel to meet the challenges of today’s society. Just as they do with test scores, Wakulla leads the Big Bend in safety with the addition of a Safety and Risk Coordinator. Superintendent David Miller announced, “Former Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Captain Jim Griner, has been selected to help ensure safety throughout our school district.” Recognizing that certain specialized services are necessary to support district and school staff, The Wakulla County School Board authorized the Superintendent to establish the required safety and security services. School Board Chairman Jerry Evans believes, “Student safety is our number one priority. All school personnel share the responsibility for providing a safe school and workplace environment that protects persons and property and encourages responsible and law-abiding behavior. The addition of Jim Griner to our staff will raise the safety standard.”
