IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS DAVID MILLER RE: MARCH 7 BAD WEATHER
Hello. This is Superintendent of Schools David Miller with an important message.
Wakulla County Schools are in session today, Friday March 7, but there have been some tornado watches issued until 12:00 p.m. and we are expecting heavy rain up to 4 to 6 inches today.
Due to this inclement weather there have been some downed trees and power lines across our county.
As always we are taking all precautions with our students and our community's safety is our number one concern.
If school buses can access your area safely they will be running, but may be late.
If you are unable to safely transport your child to school today, your child will receive an excused absence.
As a final reminder, remember to spring forward one hour on Sunday morning.
Also please prepare your child this weekend for important state testing that will begin on Tuesday, March 11.
Also stay tuned to local TV and radio stations for weather updates. Have a safe weekend.
