Angie Walker Named as the New Assistant Principal at Crawfordville Elementary School
Angie Walker has been selected as the new assistant principal at Crawfordville Elementary School. Her first day as assistant principal will be Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Mrs. Walker will replace Jean Pepe who has transferred to Nims Middle School in Tallahassee. Angie Walker has been a teacher and the media specialist for the past 13 years at Wakulla Middle School. She was recognized as the 2006-2007 WMS Teacher of the Year. She also has five years teaching experience in Seminole County. Superintendent David Miller adds, “It is gratifying when a Wakulla teacher who works to obtain educational leadership credentials moves into an administrative position.”
Angie Walker shares, “I believe in education, teachers and students. I believe in putting the students’ interest first and strive to incorporate the best available practices to meet the needs of each student. Continually searching for new ideas and initiatives, promoting a positive learning environment, and encouraging the thoughts and ideas of others are tools I maintain to ensure the best educational atmosphere for all students.”

Angie Walker brings a wealth of school-based leadership experience to the position. Her interpersonal and technology skills will be a tremendous addition to Crawfordville.” Mrs. Walker is active in professional organizations such as Delta Kappa Gamma, International Technology for Educators Association and Florida League of Middle Schools. She is a resident of Wakulla County and her two sons, Dodge and Jake attend Wakulla County Schools. Her son, Jake, was the MVP of the Regional Little League Baseball Tournament. The team will be heading to the World Series in Arkansas next week.
To qualify for an interview candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree, have three years successful teaching experience in a public school and be certified by the Florida Department of Education in Educational Leadership.
