Wakulla County Senior Citizens Center Events for December 2007

{sidebar id=1}On Friday, December 7, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. we will be having our first annual Christmas Bazaar at the Senior Center. Our chef, Mary Harrison will have her mouth-watering holiday goodies for you to purchase and enjoy. We will also have a variety of crafts and miscellaneous items for sale. Come early, then stay and enjoy the Pickin’ and Grinnin’ Band with lunch to follow at noon. Reservations for lunch are appreciated by 9:30a.m.

On Monday, December 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. the Wakulla County Senior Center will be presenting a program “Cancer: What You Need to Know”. Cancer affects both men and women and there are steps you can take to reduce your risk for various cancers. You will be given information on the types of cancer screening and show you how to reduce you risk factors. There will be a hands on demonstration.

Wakulla Middle School’s 8th Grade Band will entertain at the Senior Center on December 12th at 11:00 a.m. Come and enjoy the Christmas music performed by these talented students. Also, on December 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm, the American Lung Association’s “Better Breathers Club” will have their Holiday Party. Bring a friend or family member to enjoy the Christmas fun and learn more about lung disease.
