A celebration of Cinco de Mayo will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Wakulla County Senior Center starting at 11:30 a.m. Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday commemorating the defeat of French troops at the Battle of Pueblo in 1862.
A Mariachi Band will play for your entertainment at 11:30am. Taco Salad will be served at noon. Please make your reservations by 9:30 a.m. on May 5. The Wakulla Wigglers will be line dancing at 12:45 p.m. There will be piñatas made by the seniors and sombreros for everyone. A photo banner will be provided for those who would like to have their picture taken.
