25th Citizens Academy Participants Graduate
The 25th Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy held a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, April 13 as a group of 12 participants took part in the 13 week program. The academy is designed to give civilians an overview of all the divisions within the sheriff’s office.
The group meets on consecutive Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The program is free and participants are fed a meal. The final Tuesday includes a banquet and awards ceremony.
The next session of the academy will be held beginning on Sept. 14. Anyone interested in being part of the program is asked to contact Major Larry Massa at 926-0821. Sheriff David Harvey encourages everyone to participate in the program and learn about the WCSO operations.
