Wakulla Storm Takes Bronze in Tallahassee
With so much Winter Olympic talk in the air, Wakulla Storm teams had Bronze on the brain as they went into the bracket play in Sunday's NFVA Capital City Challenge. 'We didn't play up to our potential during Saturday's pool play,' said head coach Erica Bunch. Regarding Sunday, however, she had this to report, 'I was so glad to know that both teams came to play ball today. It makes all the training so much more worth it when the girls work together as one unit. Congratulations to all!'
Winning every game they played on Sunday, both the Wakulla Storm 15u and 13u teams brought home the winning Bronze trophies. In his first official coaching duty, assistant coach Rhett Harvey said with a smile about the 13u team, 'They played great and worked hard. Back to practice on Tuesday, they better be ready.'
Last week the 17u team traveled to Jacksonville and brought home fifth in the Gold division. Next week the 13u team will travel to Orlando.
