For the second time in just over a month, the Wakulla Red Sox 11U travel baseball team placed runner-up in its tournaments. On Sunday, September 12, 2010 the Red Sox nearly pulled-off the championship win against the North Florida Hurricanes of Jacksonville, at Messer Field in Tallahassee, losing 11-9; and on Sunday, October 24, the Red Sox came up just short again in Dothan, losing to the Lynn Haven Longhorns in the championship game 8-4. 

The Hurricanes (AAA) and the Longhorns (Major) are in higher divisions than the Wakulla Red Sox.  Against teams in their same division the 11U Red Sox are a perfect 9-0 and are ranked #1 in points and power rating for AA teams in North Florida.
