General Information

Registration deadline is Saturday, October 28, 2006, 12:00 p.m.  Coaches should hopefully be in contact with all players by November 13, 2006.  Teams will practice in November and December and games will start in January when the children get back into school from the Winter Holidays and last for approximately 6 weeks.

The entry fee provides a shirt that the player gets to keep and also equipment that the children can use but must be returned to the recreation department (basket balls, soccer balls, shin guards, and cones, etc.).  For further information contact WPRD at 926-7227.

Basketball practice and games will be played at the middle schools at night or on Saturday mornings.

Most soccer practices are held at Medart Recreation Park because of the need to have lighted fields at this time of year.  All soccer games will be played at Medart Recreation Park.  Games may be played on Monday nights, Tuesday nights, Thursday nights, and Friday nights or possibly on Saturday mornings.  Practice times are very similar but are determined by each individual coach.

The 10 and under and 12 & under soccer league will have a player evaluation day on Saturday, 11/4/06.  

10 & under will need to be here at 9:00 a.m.

12 & under will need to be here at 12:00 p.m.

Players need to be in attendance ready to practice/play for about an hour.  Players must bring a copy of their birth certificate.  10 & 12 under parents, please call the Recreation Department starting Wednesday, 11/1/06, in order to confirm that the evaluation day is still scheduled.  If there are not enough players registered, there may be a need to reschedule the evaluation day.  Please call 926-7227 for confirmation of the evaluation day.

The 14 & under league will have a player evaluation day to be announced depending on the number of players enrolled.
