Wakulla 12U Allstars Win Regional Championship!

Wakulla All-Stars Win Regional Championship!
The Wakulla County All-Stars team, comprised of boys aged 12 and under, won the regional championship today, 9-6, against the East North Carolina Sand Hills. As a result, the Wakulla All-Stars will advance to the National Championship World series held in Arkansas on August 8, 2007. The Board of County Commissioners extends their enthusiastic congratulations to the team and its coaches for a job well done.
The Wakulla All-Stars team is comprised of the following individuals: Jeffery Barnes, Jack Battle, Lance Barwick, Dalton Dugger, Jay Estes, Tyler Krepps, Brandon Nichols, Bryan Nichols, Colton Pelt, Michael Sarvis, Jacob Walker, and Jake Walker. The team is lead by Coaches Dod Walker, Bobbie Dugger, Randy Barnes, and James Estes.
{sidebar id=1}Jake Walker was named MVP and pitched the first and last inning of the winning game along with support form Tyler Krepps and Jeffrey Barnes. Jake also slammed the final home run in the regional semi finals on Tuesday, July 24th against the Alabama State Champions. The Wakulla offense was led by Brandon Nichols, who hit two home runs, and Colton Pelt, with one home run. The Wakulla All-Stars broke the existing record for the most home runs at a regional tournament with 24 home runs.
The Wakulla All-Stars will advance to the National Championship World series held in Arkansas on August 8, 2007. Financial support needed for the trip is approximately $15,000 and must be raised within the next two weeks.
