Local Soccer Team "Tops" Florida State Invitational Tournament

The first annual Florida State Invitational soccer tournament was held in Tallahassee on the weekend of March 13-14.  The "Rovers 94" boys team fielded by Top of Florida Soccer Club, made an outstanding showing, earning the Champion title in their division. 

Playing in extremely windy conditions, the Rovers defeated Tallahassee United Futbol Club 1-0 in their first game.  They went on to close out Saturday with a 4-2 victory over the Pensacola-based Dallas Texans-Florida team. 

The Rovers began Sunday with a 3-0 shut-out win over Bay United "Storm 94" from Panama City.   In the championship match, the Rovers prevailed against the Dallas Texans-Florida winning by a final score of 4-1.  Congratulations Rovers!
