Third Grader RJ Kinard Advances to Pitch, Hit and Run Sectionals
Congratulations to third grader RJ Kinard who advances to the Sectionals of Major League Baseball’s Aquafina Pitch Hit & Run Competition!!
RJ earned his way to the Sectionals after competing at the local competition held in Tallahassee earlier this spring. As a 9 year old, RJ, who competed in the 9 and 10 year old division against approximately 40 other ball players, placed 1st in pitching, 2nd in hitting and 3rd overall. Way to go RJ!!
RJ will compete at the Sectional Competition this weekend in Panama City, Florida. The top winners will advance to the MLB Team Championships held at each of the major league ballparks. MLB Team Champions will then advance to the National Finals held at the 2008 All-Star Game in New York. National Finalists will attend the MLB Brunch, All-Star Fan-Fest and shag fly balls in the outfield for the MLB All-Stars Homerun Derby before attending the 2008 All-Star Game! WOW!!!!
