Wakulla Parks and Recreation Department Fall Sports Registration Information
The Wakulla County Parks and Recreation Department will hold its 2007 Fall
Sports Registration on Saturday, August 18, and Saturday, August 25,
from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The absolute deadline to
register is Saturday, August 25, at 12:00 noon. The registration
will be held at the Medart Recreation Park off US Highway 98.
The
age determining date is September 1st, 2007 for all sports (except girl's
softball which is January 1st, 2008). For example: A
participant must turn 6 before September 1, 2007 in order to be
eligible to participate, NO EXCEPTIONS.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Ages: 6 & 7 Division, 8 & 9 Division, and 10 & 11 Division
Player must be 6 prior to 9/1/07 to be eligible. Fee for Flag Football: $40 per child
FLAG CHEERLEADING
Ages: 6, 7 & 8 year old
Must be 6 prior to 9/1/07 to be eligible. Fee for Flag Cheerleading: $40 per child; includes shirt and pom-poms.
TACKLE FOOTBALL
Pee Wee Division:
Ages: 9, 10 and 11
Weight Limit: 75 pounds - 126 pounds
Linemen may weigh up to 140 pounds
Junior Division:
Ages: 12, 13 and 14
Weight limit: 126 - 146 pounds
Linemen may weigh up to 160 pounds
Fee for Tackle Football: $85 per child A COPY OF A BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED.
TACKLE CHEERLEADING
Pee Wee Division:
Ages 9, 10 and 11
Junior Division:
Ages 12, 13 and 14
Fee for Tackle Cheerleading: $45 per child; includes shirt and pom-poms.
A COPY OF A BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED.
GIRLS FAST PITCH SOFTBALL
Ages: 16 and under, 14 and under, 12 and under, and 10 and under (8, 9 & 10)
Fee for softball is $55.00 per child.
A COPY OF A BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED for SOFTBALL, TACKLE FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING.
ALL APPLICANTS FOR ALL SPORTS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE OR PURCHASE A POLICY FOR $7.50.

Anyone interested in coaching any of the youth sports are encouraged to contact WPRD at (850)926-7227. All volunteer coaches are required and subjected to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Criminal History Background Check to ensure the safety of our youth participants.
