Riversprings Three-Peats as BearClaw Champions

Wakulla County's Riversprings Wrestling Bears hosted the third annual BearClaw Classic on January 12th. The Bears repeated as champions for the third consecutive year. 

Riversprings accomplished this feat by outlasting two very talented teams from Panama City (Mowat and Surfside).  Riversprings won the close tournament by a score of 70 to 67.

Other teams that competed include University Christian, West Bainbridge, Washington(Cairo,Ga), Wakulla, Baker, and Springhill.  Riversprings’ Kevon White was named Outstanding Lightweight by the coaches from each team. 

Elementary students competing and doing well included:  Brandon Brazier, Chase Roberts, Oakley Smith, Jordan Vaughan, Charlie Delong, Wyatt Arant, Dustin Vick, John Hinsey, Cody Ochat, Cody Davis, Joshua Douin and Joshua Walker.

The following Bears won Medals:

Others competing and doing well included:  Sam Griffin, Landon Glover, Burton Cook, Richard Walker, Dylan Wallace, Devon Lovett, Trevor Williams, and Nathan Tyre.
