Riversprings Repeats as BearClaw Classic Champs

The Riversprings Wrestling Bears hosted the BearClaw Classic on January 13th and repeated as champions. The Bears won the tournament in 2006 and returned this year to defend the title. Riversprings did so by outlasting six Florida schools and Washington Middle School (Cairo).

Others competing and doing well included Jordan Yerington, Burton Cook, Richard Walker, and Cole Woofter.

Wakulla Middles Dusty Welch was outstanding Lightweight and Matt Fields of Riversprings was named outstanding Heavyweight. Elementary students competing and doing well included Bill Morgan, Nick Lentz, Cody Davis, Zeke Bryan, Brandon Alday, Joshua Walker, Nathan Tyre, Addison Mobley, Troy Brown and James Douin.
