Riversprings Bears Strike Again... Defeat Rattlers for Second Time this Season 29 - 14
Back on September 25th the RMS Bears took on the FAMU Rattlers and defeated them, moving their record to 3-0. The score of that contest was 29-14. Lightening would strike twice as the FAMU Rattlers visited the Bears on October 16th and the Bears won again by the same score of 29-14 and moved to 6-0.
Riversprings got off to a sluggish start early in the contest, but Damonta Morris provided the spark that got the Bears going. Morris returned a Rattler kickoff 75 yards, setting up a Demetrius Lindsey touchdown run. Morris also returned a FAMU fumble 30 yards for a touchdown.
Offensively, Running Back Demetrius Lindsey led all rushers, running 14 times for 118 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The RMS defense was led by Luke Taylor, who had 5 tackles, including 3 sacks. Chase Maxwell chipped in 4 tackles with 1 sack and 1 forced fumble. Dalton Norman also had a quarterback sack and 1 fumble recovery, and Ryan Henderson intercepted a FAMU pass and returned it 43 yards, setting up one of Demetrius Lindsey’s 3 touchdown runs.
The Bears next game is on Thursday, October 25th, at Madison. The game will be at 7:00 p.m.
